This landscape drawing captures early spring in the Danish countryside, focusing on the quiet transition between seasons.
In early spring, it starts at ground level.
Before the trees fully open, the forest floor shifts first. Anemones spread in clusters, low and white, while the rest of the landscape is still holding back.

The air is lighter, but not yet warm. You hear more than you see — birds moving somewhere above, branches adjusting in the wind.
Out in the open, the fields are still uneven in color. Greens haven’t settled. Paths look more exposed, as if they’ve only just reappeared after winter.
This drawing comes out of that in-between moment.
