An October walk in Dyrehaven

Dyrehaven was full of color when I went for a walk last week. Light shifted through the trees, catching the leaves and long grass in different ways as we moved through the park.

It rained for a little while, then stopped. The wet leaves and earth seemed to bring the woods' scents closer. Afterward, the light returned, and the paths felt especially quiet.

I saw several deer along the way. A few stood quite near, and for a moment we watched each other without moving. It was a small encounter, but one I kept thinking about as I walked on.

At one point I sat on a fallen tree and took a break. There was no particular reason to hurry. I stayed for a while, looking out across the grass and trees before continuing.

Dyrehaven is so beautiful in October. I came home with the colors, the brief rain, and that still moment with the deer in my mind.
